Palworld BP01 Has Exploded: Global Demand, God Packs and the BP02 Supply Update
Palworld has not quietly entered the trading-card market.
Just days after the worldwide release of BP01: Dawn of Palpagos, available stock has become difficult to find, collectors are searching for boxes across multiple markets and demand is clearly running ahead of supply.
This has moved well beyond normal launch-week excitement.
Bushiroad announced before release that BP01 had already reached 3.5 million packs sold worldwide. Since launch, interest has continued to build as collectors have opened the product, seen the cards in person and started playing the game.
The most important development is not simply that boxes have sold quickly.
It is that people appear to genuinely love the product.
The Key Points
- BP01 demand is heavily outweighing available supply.
- Collectors are reporting strong card quality, artwork and foil treatments.
- Early gameplay feedback has been very positive.
- God Packs featuring the special all-gold Cattiva card are confirmed.
- Australian retailer ordering for BP02 has already been turned off due to demand.
- Blue Flag customer preorders for BP02 will close this week.
BP01 Demand Has Surged Worldwide
Across Australia and overseas, collectors are reporting the same experience:
- Retailers selling through available stock
- Purchase limits being introduced
- Boxes becoming difficult to locate locally
- Buyers searching community groups and secondary marketplaces
- Customers who opened BP01 immediately trying to find more
- Sealed boxes and cases attracting increasing attention
Some isolated stock will remain available through individual stores, but that does not change the broader position.
The available BP01 supply is not meeting current demand.
The 3.5 million packs recorded before release already represented a significant opening for a brand-new trading-card game.
The fact that interest has continued after collectors began opening the product is an even stronger signal.
Plenty of new TCGs generate excitement before launch.
The harder test is whether buyers still want the product after they have seen the cards in person.
So far, Palworld appears to be passing that test.
The Set Has Delivered
Early collector feedback has been strongly positive.
The artwork presents extremely well in person, the colours and foil treatments are receiving praise and the higher-rarity cards have the appearance expected from genuine chase cards.
The response has not been limited to the biggest pulls.
Collectors are also responding positively to the broader set because the cards use original artwork and feel properly built around the characters and world of Palworld.
BP01 contains 100 standard card types plus 61 parallel cards, giving the first release enough depth to support both set collectors and people chasing premium cards.
The main collector rarities attracting attention include:
SR → OSR → SP → SSP
Beyond those established chase levels, the confirmed God Pack introduces another major card outside the normal BP01 chase structure.
This does not feel like a licence placed over a generic card template.
It feels like Bushiroad and Pocketpair have taken the physical product seriously.
God Packs and the Gold Cattiva Are Confirmed
BP01 contains confirmed God Packs.
These exceptionally rare packs contain multiple premium cards and feature the special all-gold Cattiva Soul card.
The gold Cattiva has rapidly become one of the most recognisable and discussed cards from the first release.
This creates an entirely different level of chase within BP01.
Collectors are not only opening for SSP cards and premium parallels. Any unopened pack may also contain the gold Cattiva God Pack experience.
That additional chase has helped make BP01 feel deeper and more exciting than many people expected from the first set of a new TCG.
The Game Is Receiving Encouraging Early Feedback
Palworld is also showing signs that it may become more than a collector-only release.
The official game is a two-player competitive TCG built around deploying Pals, assigning them to work, managing resources and using them in battle.
Rather than simply trading attacks, players need to develop their position and decide how each Pal contributes to their overall strategy.
Early player feedback suggests that the game is:
- Relatively approachable for new players
- Strategic without being unnecessarily complicated
- Faithful to the resource-management elements of Palworld
- Capable of supporting meaningful deck-building decisions
- Enjoyable beyond the experience of simply opening packs
It is still too early to judge the competitive balance or long-term metagame.
The game will need organised play, accessible supply, tournament support and strong future card design. One successful release does not guarantee the long-term survival of a TCG.
But the opening signs are encouraging.
Collectors like the cards, and early players are reporting that the game itself is genuinely enjoyable.
That combination is exactly what Palworld needed.
BP02 Demand Is Already Creating Supply Pressure
The demand is not limited to BP01.
The second booster release, BP02: Legends Awaken, is officially scheduled for 30 October 2026.
Blue Flag can confirm that the Australian distribution branch has turned off retailer preorders for BP02 due to demand.
Australian retailers can no longer simply submit new BP02 orders or increase existing orders through distribution.
That has occurred approximately three months before the set is due to release.
Retailers that waited to assess BP01 before ordering BP02 may now find it difficult to secure stock. Those that ordered earlier will be relying on whatever allocation has already been confirmed.
It is a significant indication of how quickly interest in Palworld has developed.
Blue Flag BP02 Preorders Are Closing
Blue Flag secured its BP02 allocation before Australian retailer ordering was closed.
Our customer preorders will remain available for a few more days, but they will be switched off this week.
We are leaving the preorder window open briefly to give existing customers and members of the Blue Crew a final opportunity to secure their boxes before it closes.
Once preorders are switched off, remaining stock will be held to support the official release, future Whatnot streams, existing customers and new collectors discovering Palworld after launch.
Blue Flag is not treating Palworld as a single-set opportunity.
We intend to support BP02 and future releases while continuing to provide product information, market updates and genuine coverage of the game as it develops.

The Early Singles Market Is Moving Quickly
As expected, the first BP01 singles market has been volatile.
Premium cards are appearing at significant asking prices, but the market is still too young for every listing to be treated as a reliable value.
Collectors should distinguish between:
- An advertised price
- An accepted offer
- A completed sale
- Multiple repeat sales at a similar value
One large transaction can demonstrate that a buyer exists.
It does not automatically establish the market value of every copy.
The cards most likely to build sustainable demand will generally combine several factors:
- Popular Pal or character
- High rarity
- Strong artwork
- Low pull frequency
- Good condition
- Collector recognition
- Competitive usefulness, where relevant
The early market remains exciting, but it will take more completed transactions and more product openings before stable values emerge.
Why This Launch Feels Different
Palworld has already cleared several important early hurdles:
- BP01 reached 3.5 million packs sold before release
- Launch supply sold through quickly in multiple markets
- Collectors are actively searching for additional boxes
- Physical card quality is receiving positive feedback
- Original artwork has been well received
- High-rarity cards are creating a genuine chase
- God Packs and the gold Cattiva have added another level of scarcity
- Early gameplay feedback has been encouraging
- Australian BP02 retailer ordering has already closed
- Demand for the second set is building months before release
None of this guarantees permanent success.
The long-term future will depend on Bushiroad and Pocketpair maintaining quality, supporting organised play and supplying enough product for people to build decks and participate.
Future sets must continue providing strong artwork and desirable chase cards without making the game impossible for ordinary players to access.
But as a first release, BP01 has delivered an exceptionally strong beginning.
The Mobbzy Take
I backed Palworld early because the opportunity made sense.
The video game already had a massive global audience. The Pals were naturally suited to collectables, and Bushiroad had the experience required to build a proper trading-card product around the licence.
Even then, I did not expect BP01 to move this quickly.
The strongest sign is not one expensive listing or one massive pull.
It is the reaction from people who have actually opened and played it.
Collectors genuinely like the cards. Players are enjoying the mechanics. God Packs have created another serious chase, and many people who opened one box immediately began looking for another.
At the same time, Australian retailer ordering for BP02 has already been switched off months before release.
There is still plenty for Palworld to prove.
But it has not stumbled into the TCG market.
It has exploded into it.
Blue Flag will continue supporting Palworld through BP02 and the releases that follow.
Our BP02 preorder window will remain open for only a few more days before it closes.
