Palworld OCG Grand Challengers Cup October 2026: Everything You Need to Know

Palworld OCG Grand Challengers Cup October 2026: Everything You Need to Know

The Grand Challengers Cup is running at official Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME stores all through October 2026, and every player who turns up walks away with a promo card. Whether you're chasing the serial-numbered Jormuntide Ignis or just want your first taste of competitive play, this is the event to circle on your calendar.

Here's everything you need to know: prizes, format, the timing rules that catch people out, and how to lock in your spot.

When and where

Any official tournament store can run the Grand Challengers Cup once between 1 and 31 October 2026. That means dates and venues vary by store, so check the official shop locator and the Bushi Navi app for events near you.

Spots can fill up, especially at smaller stores. If your local is full, join the waiting list or look for a second store running it on a different weekend.

Prizes

Everyone gets something, and the prizes stack as you climb the standings.

The series covers EPR-002 through EPR-009 plus ESOUL-008. With nine cards in the pool, a few weekends of Challengers Cups is a decent way to chip away at the set.

Champion

The winner also receives a random serial-numbered Jormuntide Ignis – Savage Lava Dragon (EPR-010) PR card. Serialised promos are scarce by design, so expect these to be among the most sought-after Palworld cards on the secondary market.

The champion gets an exclusive champion flair for Bushi Navi too.

Format

It's an individual, constructed event: bring your own legal pre-built deck. There's no sealed or draft component. Every match is best-of-one with a 30-minute round clock.

Swiss rounds

The day opens with up to 5 rounds of Swiss. Swiss ends early if only one undefeated player is left.

Watch the clock here. If time runs out in a Swiss round, both players take a loss. There are no extra turns, so play at a steady pace.

Top cut

After Swiss, the top players move into single elimination. The size of the cut depends on turnout.

Total players Top cut
32 or fewer Top 4
33 or more Top 8

Top cut timing works differently. When the 30 minutes expire, players get 10 more minutes to play up to 3 extra turns. When either limit is reached, the player on lower health loses. The final has no time limit at all.

How to enter

  1. Download Bushi Navi Global from the App Store or Google Play and create an account. You can't enter without one.
  2. Find a Grand Challengers Cup at a store near you and register. Registration opened on 10 September, so many events are already taking entries.
  3. Register your deck in Bushi Navi's deck log before the event. This is mandatory.
  4. If the event is full, join the waiting list. Bushi Navi notes that new entries can take a while to appear because of time zone differences, so don't panic if yours doesn't show straight away.

Tips for your first Challengers Cup

  • Practise against the clock. A Swiss time-out is a loss for both players, so a fast, consistent deck beats a slow combo deck that can't close in 30 minutes.
  • Do your deck log the night before. Sorting it out at the counter on the day is the easiest way to start late.
  • Check the latest rules. Brush up on the official rules and Q&A so a judge call doesn't cost you a game.
  • Get some deck ideas. The official deck recipes are a solid starting point if you're still building.
  • Bring sleeves and a spare. Card sleeves split at the worst times.
  • Play more than one. Each store runs it once, but nothing stops you entering at a few stores across October for more shots at the promo pool.
